TULSA, OK – “Can you bring Denny Hamlin’s #11 NASCAR car to our store tomorrow afternoon? YOU BET!
That’s how the conversation went between John Grammer, FEDEX-Tulsa, and CarToys GM Charles Stewart on Tuesday, October 27th.

The FEDEX sponsored #11 car, a Cup Series winner in mid October, was in Tulsa supporting the team’s commitment to the SafeKids program. A spot opened up in the schedule and a Wednesday date was set with CarToys.
The aforementioned Grammer is a very good CarToys customer, In fact, Grammer competed and took home a major trophy at the recent Unified DB Drag/USACi finals in Tulsa. CarToys installed a winning system in Grammer’s Lincoln LS.
CarToys’ owner Rob Rice told 12voltnews.com “This was a promotional opportunity out of the blue. They called Charles on Tuesday and on Wednesday afternoon the FEDEX sponsored #11 car, with the hauler, was on display in front of our store”. Rice added “We put some of our cars out front, Mark Eldridge brought the MSE NASCAR demo and we had a big event. A number of consumers stopped to check out the activity. The event was a “hump” day sales booster for sure”.
Steward added “We made 2 or 3 nice sales from the traffic generated and saw some new faces. We really thank FEDEX, John Grammer and the Hamlin #11 crew for this unique opportunity.
One of CarToy’s local media partners, Vype Publishiing, picked up on the event and plugged it on their web and internet

The team at CarToys is always making things happen in their market. Their relationships with customers like John Grammer often lead directly to unique opportunities. No relationship-No successful event like the FEDEX #11 Hamlin car at their store.
Great story guys!
